ABOUT

My name is Monica Sundquist and I am an alumni of Iowa State University. In my 4 years at Iowa State, I pursued a degree in Apparel Merchandising and Design with emphasis in Creative & Technical Design. When I graduated in 2021, I was honored to receive 1st Place Overall in the Athleisure category for my Senior Collection, Open Air, at the Iowa State University Fashion Show and 2nd Place in Graphic Print. I'm so grateful to have ended my educational journey with these awards and invaluable experiences that will stay with me for a lifetime.

 

My professional journey started with an internship at D-RAVEL and a role as an Assistant Designer with Coolibar. These experiences have not only allowed me to further cultivate my passion for the design industry but have also contributed significantly to my professional growth.

I recently relocated to New York City as that has been my dream since I was young. I am now the Assistant Designer at JDM Uniforms where I am enhancing my design skills and learning more about the industry.

I am also very passionate about styling, content creation, and graphic design. I'm a strong believer in the fact that creativity shouldn't be limited to just one area of design. Creativity has such a huge magnitude in the world and I want to experience it in as many outlets as I can.
